A loan of $350 helped to buy cheese, curd, and cream.

Consuelo's story

Consuelo, 33, is a humble trader from León. She is married with one fourteen-year-old son. She has had a business selling dairy products for more than three years.

She started her business at the age of 30, motivated by her mother-in-law who helped her to start up her own business selling cheese, curd and cream. She says that she is very satisfied because her business is going very well, and at the same time she earns a daily income. Her son helps her with her business. She sells the dairy products from her home. She also has another source of income, the money which her husband brings in.

Consuelo is applying for a loan to buy cheese, curd, and cream. Her goal is to buy wholesale dairy products in order to increase her sales and earn a better profit. One of her next goals is to establish another business selling chicken and other food products, which will generate a better income.
