A loan of $325 helped to buy organic fertilizer.

Paulino's story

Paulino, 42 years old, is a hardworking man. He lives with his wife, Juana, and their four children in a house they bought 12 years ago. In the mornings, Paulino works as a taxi driver, "On harvesting days, I stop working in transportation and I take my vehicle to the farm," he affirms.

Since his principal source of income is farming, Paulino has his own plots of land located a few hours away from his house. For this reason, he leaves very early in the morning to work. He has 20 years of experience since he learned this trade when he was a young boy. "I farmed and had my own animals, but I moved to the city so that my children could study. I stopped working in agriculture and obtained by vehicle. I am beginning to work in agriculture again, now that I have the capital that I needed."

Paulino is very grateful for the financial support he receives from this communal bank. He promises to be punctual with his repayments since he has already learned the importance of being responsible.

Paulino will invest the 800 soles to buy organic fertilizer for his crops.
