A loan of $600 helped to purchase a small plot of land.

Sabina's story

Sabina is a woman of character. She has lived with her husband Cesar and their small child in a rented house for the past three years. From a young age she learned the basics of agricultural work and became accustomed to working tirelessly for many hours each day. In the beginning she owned no land herself but worked with the intention of being able to buy her own property. Over the years, she became established in the city. She always dreamed of giving her family a better life. Today she travels for hours to work in her fields cultivating potatoes, corn and peas. She asserts: "I stay for days on my land; traveling to the city is expensive."

Sabina wants to continue planting and profiting so that she can afford to build her own home. She is asking for $600 (1500 soles) which will purchase a small plot on which to build it. She promises to be punctual and responsible with her payments.
