Stellah's Group's story

Stellah is a 31-year-old farmer and mother of two children. She keeps chickens, grows maize and runs a retail shop. Challenges to Stellah's agricultural business include her chickens being stolen, lack of capital to purchase the best chicken feed and a small house for the birds. Why did Stellah join KOMAZA's microforestry program? "I saw KOMAZA having a good idea on planting trees and making money out of it. If I get money from the sale of trees, I feel I will be in a position to cater for the needs of my family," she says. With the profits from her tree farm, Stellah plans to improve her poultry business and generate greater income for her family. Stellah shares, "I feel KOMAZA is educating the community and am proud to be a part of KOMAZA."
