Stephen's Group's story

Stephen is a 65-year-old farmer and father of 19 children. He and his wife keep goats, cows and grow maize to support their family. Four of their children are still in school.

Stephen wants to become a KOMAZA tree farmer to benefit from the skills and training that he will receive from the program. He hopes the income he will receive from the trees at maturity will meet the needs of his family. He would like to use the proceeds from his KOMAZA trees to build a good house and educate his children.

He is excited to join KOMAZA's program because of the benefits to the environment around him from growing trees.
