A loan of $2,000 helped a member to buy new blankets to supply to various hospitals in Manicaland, as well as clothes and shoes to supply to hospital employees.

Sunshine Stars Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 29 year old Florence from Mutare. She is married and has two children, both attending school. Florence runs a business selling clothes, blankets and shoes. The business has been in operation for two years. She says the main challenge her business faces are the high customs duties at the border posts. Florence has applied for a loan of $400 to purchase clothes, blankets and shoes to supply to hospitals. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve her family’s general welfare. In the future, Florence plans to own her own big truck for transporting her goods, and to own a boutique shop.
