Vimbo Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 49 year old Miriam from Mutare. She is widowed with four children, two attending school. She also cares for two dependents. Miriam runs a retail business selling clothes, blankets and kitchenware. The business has been in operation for 12 years. She says the main challenges faced are high transport costs. Miriam has requested a loan of $400 to purchase clothes, blankets and kitchenware. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve her family's welfare. In the future Miriam plans to own her own boutique shop and send her children to better schools.
