Khursheed M.rafiz's Group's story

Khursheed baji is the wife of M. and has been married for the last 40 years. She is the mother of nine children: three sons and six daughters. She is a sweeper in a school and her husband is a fruit seller. She successfully repaid her first loan from Asasah, a microfinance institute in Pakistan. She bought fruits for her husband’s fruit selling business and is applying again for funds for the same business.

Khursheed baji has been joined in her group by three other women. Nazia baji wants this loan to expand her welding business and Hamidan baji needs funds to expand her scrap work. Abida baji will use the loan for her garment business.

This is a group loan and the funds will be distributed among the group members and each will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans and if one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
