A loan of $1,275 helped to buy soft drinks and juices.

Jose Javier's story

Jose is 36 years old, single, and has one child. He lives with his mother in a neighborhood in the town of Masica, Atlántida.

For the past 15 years, Jose has managed a cafeteria at one of the schools in town. He has the help of one employee who prepares various foods such as meat turnovers, baleadas (the Honduran version of a burrito), and fried plantains with meat. Jose also offers soft drinks, juices, cookies, donuts, and other items. His customers are students of the school.

He is requesting his second loan in the amount of 25,000 HNL. The proceeds will be used to restock his business with soft drinks and juices. Jose hopes to grow his business so that he can generate more earnings to cover his family’s expenses.
