A loan of $800 helped to buy construction materials to make improvements to the rooms she rents out, to paint and renovate the bathrooms, and perform maintenance on her minibus.

Fatima Del Rosario's story

Fátima is a married woman who lives in Managua with her six children aged 1, 3, 11, 15, 18 and 21. Four of her children are in school. She has a business renting out rooms, and her husband drives children to school in a minibus. In this way they are able to support there family. The difficult economic situation and scare opportunities for employment motivated her to seek other forms of income to enable her to feed her children and cover their expenses. She wants them to study and become professionals, since she was not able to do this herself, and she wants a better future for them.

She is seeking a loan in order to buy construction materials to make improvements to the rooms she rents out, to paint and renovate the bathrooms, and perform maintenance on her minibus. Among her future plans are to buy a taxi in order to pursue other forms of income and be able to save for her children's school expenses.
