A loan of $975 helped buy clothing.

Griselda's story

Griselda, 40, is a hard-working, diligent woman, married to a laborer husband Elvis with whom she has three children. They comfortably live together in a house that they bought after much hard work. Griselda sells different styles of clothing for women, men and children. She also sells beauty products, like nail polish, lipstick, lotion and other. She also has a glass display case where she displays her articles. All of these products are acquired by catalog and she sells to her friends, acquaintances and neighbors, whom she attends kindly and cordially, winning over their business. She started her business five years ago with the help of her daughter. Before starting her business, she was in major financial trouble, not able to find work in her field and not able to pay for her children's educations, as her husband's income wasn't enough. She took a big risk starting this business and fortunately her income from it has helped her improve her financial situation. She is requesting a loan of 2,500 PEN (approx. US $975) to buy t-shirts, pants, blouses, shirts, etc. She is happy to know she has financial support that will allow her to move forward in her work and she promises to be punctual with her payments.
