A loan of $425 helped to purchase cosmetics such as perfumes and lotions.

Judith Elizabeth's story

Judith is a humble young woman. She is 27 years old and desires to get ahead in life. She is from Managua and works selling cosmetics. She is married, is the mother of a 5-year-old child, and is in her third year of accounting studies. She started her business with her own capital and with assistance from her father who also works selling perfumes from the line of cosmetics. Later, her father traveled to Costa Rica in search of a better life and from there decided to leave the business to his daughter so she could manage it. She was able to do this through tremendous effort and hard work, and in doing so she was able to earn enough to continue to pay for her university education. One of Judith's reasons for maintaining her own business was to avoid working for other people. Her husband helps her manage her business.

Judith is requesting this loan in order to purchase cosmetic items such as perfumes and lotions in order to purchase all of the cosmetic items she does not currently have in stock, while also growing her business more each day by being able to increase her sales and earn more income. In the future she hopes to have her own perfume company and be able to provide employment for others. One of her next goals is to complete her university studies in order to have more opportunities and to develop more as a professional.
