Jose Luis

Bolivia
El Alto, Bolivia / Carpentry

A loan of $1,025 helped to buy raw materials (wood).

Jose Luis's story

José is 39 years old and has three children who are 10, 12 and 15 years old. He makes a living building doors and kitchen furniture. He has his carpentry shop in the zone of Chijini in the city of Alto. He has been doing this work for ten years and learned from his father who was also a carpenter.

This loan is his first with this institution. José will use this loan to buy wood to build doors. His reason for requesting this loan is that he lacks the capital to buy this working material, without which he would not be able to build doors. José faces challenges in his business including leaving poverty behind. He will use his earnings to improve his standard of living, as this is his only economic activity that allows him to provide for himself and for his family. For this reason he is happy and thankful to the institution for the support brought forth.
