A loan of $2,000 helped a member to buy clothes and kitchen utensils for resale.

Friendly Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 47-year-old Tracy from Mutare. She is married with four children, one attending school. Tracy runs a retail business selling clothes and kitchen utensils. The business has been in operation for 5 years. She says the main challenges faced are high transportation costs and the duty at the border post. Tracy has requested a loan of $400 to purchase clothes and kitchen utensils for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve her general family welfare. In the future, Tracy plans to have ownership of her own boutique shop.
