A loan of $1,600 helped a member to buy more stock for resale.

Orleans Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 30-year-old Sevie from Mutare. She is married with three children, all attending school. Sevie runs a retail business selling clothes, shoes, TVs and fridges. The business has been in operation for 5 years. She says the main challenges faced are late payments from clients who buy on credit. Sevie has requested a loan of $400 to purchase clothing, shoes, tvs and fridges to sell during tobacco sale season. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve her general family welfare. In the future, Sevie plans to have ownership of her own boutique shop.
