A loan of $725 helped to buy items like shampoo, groceries, etc. to sell in her 'sari-sari' store.

Edna's story

Edna is married and works hard to support her family. She has a general store business in the Philippines, and also earns additional income from farming rice and 'tricycle' transportation. Edna is borrowing PHP 29,500 through NWTF to buy items like shampoo, groceries, etc. to sell in her 'sari-sari' (variety) store.

Edna has been sustaining her business activities through her past 17 loans from NWTF and more recently, through Kiva. She hopes that her hard work will help her attain her dream to save enough money to expand her business.
