A loan of $225 helped to buy medicine and have some medical tests done.

Ramiro José's story

Ramiro José was born and brought up in the district of El Sauce. He comes from a poor but humble, honourable and hard-working family.

Since he was young, he has been a primary school teacher as he loves teaching the children who are Nicaragua's future how to read and write.

At the moment he works in a neighbouring region which is 5km away so he goes by bike each day so that he arrives at the school on time. The majority of the children are from poor backgrounds who often don't even have enough to buy an exercise book.

He also notes that it makes him sad to see children from the countryside who want to study but who don't because of their circumstances.

He tries to do his best both as a father and son. He is requesting finance to buy medicine and have some medical tests done for his mother who hasn't been well recently.

He would like the Kiva investors to help him through Ceprodel so that his mum improves as he isn't able to meet these needs with his low salary.
