Judith's story

Judith is 47 years old. She is married to Osias and with him has 2 children. They live together comfortably in their own home that they bought with a lot of hard work. Judith's activity is selling bread, cheese and smoked meats. She has 2 sales booths in a market close to her home where she offer these products for sale. Her activity starts every day in the morning hours with the delivery of the products from the suppliers. Sometimes her sales are very good and she is able to sell everything she has for sale that day. She has worked for 4 years with her daughter's help and she started this business with a private loan and then little by little was able to increase her sales. She considers her business to be very profitable since she makes good earnings. She remarks that she decided to start this business thinking about her family's well being. Now she hopes to stock her two booths with a larger quantity of baked goods and in the future consolidate with a third booth. At this time, she will ask for a loan of S/. 2000 soles. She is happy knowing that she has financial support to go ahead with her plans. With the amount she has asked for, she will buy a larger quantity of breads, cakes, smoked meats, cheese and other baked goods to stock both booths.
