A loan of $600 helped to buy fabrics and second-hand clothes for resale.

Awa's story

Awa, 46 years old, is a widow and the mother of two children. Her oldest child is 15, the youngest is 8. She sells fabrics and second-hand clothes, and has a five-year experience in this field. She buys her merchandise in Mali and resells in her own country.

This is her second loan: she is requesting 300,000 CFA francs for the purchase of fabrics, a bale of used clothing, and other various goods.

Awa is always working and has a faithful group of customers. Thanks to her loans, she manages to put some money aside, to pay her children's school fees, and to improve her family's diet.
