The group Benkadi is composed of married women who average 41 years of age and four children each, all living in traditional extended families in the village of Tomba, in Région de Koulikoro (2nd administrative region of the Republic of Mali). The women know one another through ties of kinship, community, and friendship. They do commerce in condiments, tubers, and soaps, and they raise livestock. The women of the group Benkadi are on their third solidarity loan.

This client, KOROTOUMOU, who is the second person standing from the right, intends to purchase some condiments (a bag of salt, two baskets of tomatoes, 5 kg of onions, and a packet of Maggi cubes) from Nangola retailers. She resells them locally in the village to a customer base composed of men and women.

She envisions making an average monthly profit of 15,000 francs CFA that will be used to meet family needs. Part of the profits will be reinvested in the condiments business.

Le groupe Benkadi, composé de femmes mariées, ont en moyenne 41 ans, 4 enfants et vivent toutes dans des familles traditionnelles élargies dans le village de Tomba, Région de Koulikoro (deuxième région administrative de la république du Mali).
Elles se sont connues à travers des liens de parenté, de voisinage et d’amitié. Elles font le commerce de condiments, de tubercules, de savon et font l’élevage.
Les femmes du groupe Benkadi sont à leur troisième prêt solidaire.
La cliente KOROTOUMOU, deuxième personne à partir de la droite dans le rang des débout, compte acheter des condiments (un sac sel, deux paniers de tomate, cinq kilos d’oignons et un paquet de cube Maggi) avec les revendeurs de Nangola, qu’elle revend sur place dans le village à une clientèle composée de femmes et d’hommes.
Elle envisage réaliser un bénéfice moyen mensuel de 15 000FCFA qui sera utilisé pour ses besoins de la famille et une partie est réinvestie dans l’activité de commerce de condiments.
