Renato's story

This is Renato, 51, a resident of Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. Single, he manages his household while operating the business. At this time, he is working hard to continually provide income for his everyday expenses and help his parents financially.

Renato operates a salon business. He offers hair styling, hair grooming and services of the like. He also offers hair straightening. His regular customers are his neighbors and the local community. His salon is located adjacent to his house. His regular customers are his neighbors and the local community. He earns a minimum of 500 Philippine Pesos (PHP) in sales every day.

To help him continue operations of his business, he is requesting a Php 10,000 loan. He will be utilizing the loan to buy supplies for his salon, like shampoo, hair treatment creams and oils, and other things needed for his business. He expects a boost in his income as he expands his business.

Renato dreams to have his own place for his salon so he will no longer rent. He hopes to help his siblings. He meets up with his co-fellowship* members to share stories of his life and business every week and where he can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God he studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay Micro Finance loans.
