Cayo's story

Cayo is a 45-year-old man who lives in the city of Ica with his wife and children. His family is his motivation in life. He is a kind, hard-working, and enthusiastic person, and both he and his wife work very hard to provide a good life for their family. Cayo started studying to become a teacher, but due to lack of financial support and needing to work, Cayo could not finish his studies, although he would still like to. In his free time, he likes to read a little and sometimes cooks a delicious Cuy Chactado (fried guinea pig) for his family.

Cayo works hard running his convenience store - a business that he started alone. He works every day from early in the morning and works for around 12 hours. He enjoys his job and his business is doing well because he offers good prices and treats his customers well.
Cayo is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, because thanks to their help, he will be able to buy items such as dry goods, drinks, and school supplies so that his store is better-stocked and he can sell to more customers. He will carry on working and doing his best to achieve his dream of seeing his children become professionals.
