A loan of $1,450 helped buy agricultural supplies for his citrus trees.

Ambrosio's story

Sr. Ambrosio has been single for many years. He lives in the town of Cochabamba on his farm. He has been a member of his group Segunda Linares in the municipality of Entre Rios for six years.

Sr. Ambrosio is from Chapare province in the department of Cochabamba, one of the poorest places in Bolivia. He comes from the community of Tiraque, seeking better opportunities like the majority of people. His crops failed because of changes in the weather, something that is difficult to control. Each year production was lower and of poor quality so he left to go to Cochabamba. As time passed and after much hard work and effort, Ambrosio was able to buy some land and today that is where he works.

The loan he is asking for will be used to buy agricultural supplies for his citrus trees. In this way he will be able to improve his standard of living. Ambrosio has also always taken part in the economic activities of his group.
