A loan of $450 helped to buy cold cuts.

Cory De Los Angeles's story

Cory, 19, lives in the southwestern part of the city. She earns a living selling cosmetics and cold cuts. One year ago, she started her business out of necessity in order to improve her living conditions and have her own earnings. She has a local store where she sells perfumes, cosmetics, and hair products on credit, and she sells cold cuts, like spice sausage, bologna on credit or cash. Most of her credit accounts are with employees of various businesses which bring in most of her earnings. This is the exact reason why she is asking for a Kiva Loan. It is the first loan that she has requested from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo through which she will buy cold cuts. The business where she works is seeing a rapid investment turn, generating more profit, and bringing in more cash. Her goal later on is to have a larger business and grow her customer base so that she can support her family with their living expenses.
