A loan of $675 helped to buy farm supplies for his coffee crops.

Jose Abel's story

José, 47, is married and has four children; he lives in a village belonging to Taulabe, Comayagua with three of his children. José has worked in agriculture with his family, especially growing coffee. But three years ago he started his own crops. He sells the coffee in the local market or to middlemen. He’s asking for his second ODEF loan for 13,000 Lempiras that he’ll use to buy fertilizer to provide care for his coffee crops. He hopes to improve his farm so his family can better itself.
