Dirianis's story

Dirianis is 27 years old, married, and lives with her husband and their two children aged six and 10 years old. They both dream of seeing them become successful, and, for this reason, Dirianis and her husband work hard to give them the best life they can. Three years ago, with some money they had saved, they started a business selling desserts and hamburgers. Dirianis’s mother helped them with her suggestions and experience. They managed to grow little by little and are now very well-known in the areas where they sell. Their main customers are people from the local neighborhood and areas close by, to whom they sell to daily, door-to-door, and on short-term credit.

The demand for their products is gradually increasing, and they do not have enough money to invest to be able to increase their number of customers or to be able to expand into other markets that could help their growth. This is the biggest challenge that they are facing, and that is why they have come to Kiva for their first loan from the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, with which they will buy sauces, meat, and bread products to have enough supplies to make products for their potential customers.

Their dream is to buy their own house to be able to give their family their own roof to live under peacefully.
