Mercedes's story

63 year old Mercedes is married and lives with her husband and their youngest child in the house that they built many years ago as a result of her work. Mercedes is the proprietor of a grocery store which is located in her home. She sells all sorts of groceries and sodas of the best brands. She has many customers as it is the only grocery store in the area. She has been running this business for 25 years and has help from her husband and her son brings in income from other work. She remembers that, when she began this business, she didn't have much of an idea of how to do it. But, with time, she learned and know she is an excellent sales person. She likes her work because she gets lots of contact with people and so she doesn't feel lonely when her husband and son leave for work. In addition, she makes good profits because of the high sales that she has every day. At this time, she is requesting $975 to buy some staple groceries such as rice, sugar, eggs, oil, milk, sodas, bread, sausages, and other products that she offers in her store. For her part, she feels happy about the financial support that she is receiving as it enables her to grow her business.
