A loan of $600 helped to buy cables and repair music equipment.

Gino's story

Gino is 24 years old. He is married and has a son who is just one year old. Gino lives alongside his wife and siblings in his parents' house. He makes a living editing audio and video tracks for television and radio programs that are well-known in the region. In addition he rents out his sound and some other equipment for festivals and social events in the city. Part of his work consists of making adverts, photo shoots, narrating documentaries, and such like. He does this work at his mother's house as there he has a small office. He has had this business for three years and feels it is going well as the number of customers has multiplied. What Gino likes about his work is that he is making a good income and that he has fun doing it - this type of work is something that has fascinated him since he was a boy. In the time that he has been doing this work, Gino has learned many things and he is continually training himself to use new sound and design technology. His main goal is to have a fully equipped recording studio. In the meantime he is buying some of the tools that he needs for his work, little by little. On this occasion he is applying for a loan of 1500 Nuevo Soles. With this money he will buy new cables that he needs to update, he will repair a speaker and buy coloured light bulbs that he needs for renting out.
