A loan of $450 helped to buy pants, shirts, blouses, and children's clothes.

Julia Elena's story

Julia is requesting her second loan with the El Credito (The Loan) Communal Bank. She likes her Communal Bank because of the team spirit and unity of its members. She lives in a nice area of Cuenca, a town renown for her 4 rivers and for its city center, where colonial, natural and modern elements blend in. Its inhabitants keep their traditional culture alive, and they are kind, gentle and welcoming people who work on a daily basis to improve their economic situation as well as that of their families. Julia is 53 years old, she is married and she has 5 children who are now married and live independently. She does not have a house of her own, so she has to rent the one she lives in. Her husband is a retailer. Julia has been engaging in an activity of her own for 6 years, running a store where she sells American clothes. She works there Mondays to Saturdays form 9 am to 7 pm. The loan she is requesting will be used to buy pants, shirts, blouses, and children's clothes. Her goal is to keep on expanding her store.
