A loan of $450 helped to buy cosmetics.

Liz's story

Twenty-nine year old Liz is hard-working, persevering and really wants to prosper. She is currently single but has two young children, aged two and eight years old. She lives with them at her parents' house. Liz makes a living selling catalog beauty products, such as cosmetics and perfumes. She sells them to friends, relatives and other people that she knows. A lot of the time people pay in cash, while others pay in installments. She has good results in this work and also has a good customer base. She has had the business nearly three years and has always worked alone. What Liz likes about the business is that she can manage her free time and so spend the necessary time with her young children. Moreover she likes generating her own income and using it to pay household bills. However, she says it bothers her when customers are late with payments though it does not discourage her. She plans to continue work as she feels good and satisfied with her business. It gives her the independence she needs. On this occasion, Liz is applying for 1100 Nuevo Soles to stock up on cosmetics and buy different perfumes, talcum powders, creams and some jewellery. Liz is grateful for the opportunity of being able to count on a loan to advance with her business.
