A loan of $2,125 helped a member to buy wood.

Mujeres Unidas Group's story

The Mujeres Unidas [United Women] group is in its first cycle. There are ten members living beneath the poverty line. They are hard-working and very enterprising women. They put forth great effort to grow and improve day to day.

Maria is one of the members. During the last survey her poverty level was within level one, which is below. She does carpentry work, and with this she tries to get ahead. She does this to be able to have the means to help her family and also to improve her financial situation.

She is requesting this loan to buy wood. With the wood she will be able to continue working on her business plan, and she will continue growing as a professional.
