A loan of $400 helped to buy wood.

Carol's story

Carol is 30 years old. She is single and has an 8 year old son. For a long time, she has worked to offer her son a better quality of life. She lives with him and her parents in her own house. Carol goes every day to the lumberyards located in the outskirts of the city to get better quality wood at lower prices to sell in the same area where she buys it. She has customers who always ask for her merchandise. She has been doing this business for about 5 years and everything has been going very well. She does her work every day and generally in the morning. Sometimes she also works where the trucks carrying wood go out. She is very happy that things are going well for her, because she has good customers that seek out her quality products she offers every day. She hopes to keep working in this way and in the future open her own small business. At this time, she will ask for S/. 1000 soles. She is very enthusiastic to again have the lending support to keep working and increasing her working capital. She is aware that to be able to keep working she needs to keep being responsible like she has been so far. With the amount she has asked for she will buy a larger quantity of wood used in housing construction.
