A loan of $325 helped to increase her stock of tomatoes.

Cathérine's story

Cathérine, age 50, is married and the mother of a family. For about fifteen years, she's been a merchant who retails fresh products (tomatoes, fruits) depending on the season in one of her town's markets.

She has a good knowledge of the producers and of her clientele, which she acquired over time thanks to her experience in this field.

Nevertheless, she's constantly out of stock because she's forced to sell everything before being able to buy new products, due to her small working capital.

She would like to buy a truckload of plantains in order to have a large stock, which will enable her to better meet a constant customer demand and avoid getting out of stock.

She will save her profits, not only to expand her business, but also to provide for her family.
