A loan of $825 helped to purchase 'red oil' and some caustic soda to make soap.

Esi's story

A retailer of soap from her home, Esi is married to an accountant and has a 2-year-old child. She makes the soap herself and resells it to her customers in the city of Lomé. One person helps her in producing the soap. Esi is taking out her first loan at WAGES to purchase some raw materials (red oil and caustic soda). After earning profits from selling the soap, she wants to see her business expand and to provide a more comfortable life for her family.
