Martha is 31 years old and married with three children. She lives in Kaloleni, Kenya. All her children are schooling and so her major monthly expenditure is school fees. She owns her shop where she sells home-use items. In addition she also operates a poultry business which she sells to restaurant operators. She has approached with a loan request amounting to 40,000 Kenyan shillings to restock her shop and buy soft drinks, bundles of wheat flour, sacks of maize flour and cooking oil and add chicks for her poultry business. She is grateful for such an opportunity.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
