Sihame is a 33-year-old married woman and the mother of four school-aged children. Her husband is the one responsible for everything concerning the family and the children’s study fees. He has been employed since 2002.
As for Sihame, she started her own business in 2010. She works as a hairdresser and has her own salon where she welcomes customers to provide them with beauty services such as hairdressing, makeup, laser, etc.
Today, Sihame is requesting a loan from Kiva partner Vitas s.a.l. to renovate her salon. She wishes to receive added clients to earn a higher income and be able to expand her business operations the soonest.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
