Nary's Group's story

A 42-year-old mother of four kids, Nary is a widow who currently only has one schoolchild under her dependency. As a single mother, she struggles in earning her daily cost of living through Chinese noodle selling and a cafe. For her eight year involvement in the current business, she is able to earn up to 27,200 KHR per day.

Including this cycle, she is a third-time borrower with VisionFund, Kiva’s partner. She has fully paid back her past loans and feels so confident that she can upgrade her living in a gradual manner.

Now, to better support her business, she formed a group of five members to request a new loan. The total of her group loan is 6,200,000 KHR. As the group leader, she will use her loan portion to buy grocery items to support her business. Moreover, she also wants to fix her house in a proper condition.

She hopes her business will improve progressively, and also hopes to own her house in good condition.
