A loan of $975 helped to purchase ingredients to make desserts.

Luzdina's story

Luzdina is a 40-year-old woman with a strong desire to make progress. She is happy and sociable, and she enjoys business. She is divorced from her husband with whom she has four children, who live comfortably in a home she owns. The city of Pucallpa has a very hot climate and this makes it so the inhabitants are constantly looking for distinct dessert refreshments. It's for this reason Luzdina prepares gelatins, mazamorras (a corn-based drink) and fruit-based sorbets. These desserts help the population combat the heat they suffer through daily. She sells these items at her home, where all of her customers and guests have passed by over the years, since she has had the business for five years. Over that time she has perfected the taste and flavor of her desserts. She likes the work because she can spend time with her family because she doesn't have a fixed schedule. She is requesting the loan to purchase the ingredients she needs to make her products, such as fruit essences, flan, gelatin, disposable containers and other items. She is grateful for the financial help provided through our institution.
