Roy Luis's story

Roy is a 39 year old man. He lives in the city of Pucallpa with his spouse. He is a a hardworking, enthusiastic man who is a fighter. He puts all of his hard work into getting ahead in life. Lamentably, due a necessity of having to work since he was very young, he was unable to study nursing like he so wanted to do, but he dreams of being able to so some day. In his free time, he likes to go out with his spouse and friends to the warm and pleasing streets of the city. Sometimes, he likes to eat the delicious “lomo saltado”.

On his own initiative and with his spouse's support, Roy opened his small business selling replacement parts for small vehicles. He also sells beer wholesale and retail. He spends approximately 12 hours a day at his business, and can serve approximately 8 customers. Roy believes that his business is going well because of the quality, good prices and the friendly treatment he gives his customers.

Roy is very grateful to the Kiva lenders. This is the second time that they have supported him and he will be able to buy a box of automotive oils and general replacement parts. This way, Roy will be able to better supply his business and increase his sales as well as his income. With this, he helps to convert his small business into a larger store for selling general replacement parts.
