A loan of $400 helped to buy groceries and household goods.

Maciely's story

Maciely, 25, is married to René and they have two small children. They live in their own house which they built with the fruit of their labor. Currently Maciely sells groceries such as home goods, rice, sugar, milk, drinks, sausages etc. Her small store is located in the front part of her house which is located in a strategic zone in her community. She has been doing this work for two years and counts on the unconditional help from her spouse. She is happy to be able to share a business that helps the family. She likes her work since it gives her the flexibility to be able to do other activities around the house. This business has generated good profits since there are always clients interested in her products. She also sells whole sale to the retailers. Maciely wants to keep moving ahead and in the future expand her business and become a big businesswoman in the region. At this time she is asking for a 1,000 soles [$400] loan. She is thankful for all the people who make her loan possible in order to continue with her objectives. She is committed to paying her installments in a timely manner. With the loan she will buy a large quantity of groceries and staples such as rice, bread, eggs, milk, sugar, oil and other products that will allow her to keep working.
