El Guano 1 Group's story

Dominga is the coordinator of her group, El Guano (an honor to their community name) 1. This group is comprised of five micro-entrepreneurs located in the city of San Pedro de Macoris. Dominga makes her home here in a simple structure, with her long-term partner and their five children.

Dominga is excited to be taking out her fourth loan with Esperanza International Dominican Republic after having successfully repaid her previous loan and grown her business. This businesswoman runs a grocery sales stall where she sells candies, potato chips, gum and many other snacks. She plans to use this loan to invest in her business by purchasing different snacks to increase her business inventory.

Dominga said that her most difficult challenge has been raising her children and educating them while she has been working to support her long-term partner. She will use the profits to reinvest and to save for any needs of her family. She thanks you all for your support.
