Garmah's story

Garmah lives in Kakata Town, the capital city of Margibi County, which is the highest producing rubber plantation in Liberia. She is 33 years old, single, and has a 9-year-old child who is in school and lives at home. Garmah stopped school at ninth grade. Since1997, Garmah has been selling palm oil, rice, pepper, etc. in the local market. She started this business with help from her mother and learned this way of selling from her friends. Garmah is requesting a loan to purchase more palm oil, rice, pepper, etc. for her business. She enjoys her business because of the profit she receives every day. Her plan is to build a house for her children.
