A loan of $3,075 helped purchase of cabbage and tomato seeds.

Svetlana's story

Svetlana is a farmer. Since 2004 she has been growing cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes, eggplant, and peppers. Her husband and 11 year-old daughter help her to manage the farm. She started out the business growing cabbage and tomatoes in an open field. Svetlana and her husband have decided to buy cabbage and tomato seeds to grow new varieties, as well as to increase the size of their seeded area.

Long-term future plans include buying refrigeration equipment to keep and refrigerate harvested produce, and to construct a greenhouse for growing early varieties of cabbage, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Their personal future plans include building a new house.

Svetlana is seeking your help in financing the purchase of cabbage and tomato seeds.
