A loan of $775 helped a member to buy blouses, jeans, long pants, and Muslim fashion items to offer for sale.

Adora Mandiri Group's story

Fitriah, age 39, is the leader of this group of entrepreneurs. Fitriah lives in the village of Bale Kambang east of Jakarta with her husband, who is a driver, and their three children, who currently attend elementary school and junior high school.

As her husband's income is not enough to fulfill their needs and pay their children's school fees, Fitriah sells ready-to-wear clothing to earn additional income. This is necessary because the children are enrolled in a private school, where school fees amount to 250,000 IDR per month and books cost 500,000 IDR. Fitria has been engaged in her clothing sales venture for three years now.

With the help of this loan, Fitriah and her group members will be able to expand their businesses, make more sales, and consequently improve their living conditions. Fitira will use her share of the loan (2,500,000 IDR) to buy blouses, jeans, long pants, and Muslim fashion items in larger quantities to add to her current stock and to offer for sale.

Her dreams are to establish a shop and to see her eldest daughter become a flight attendant.
