A loan of $325 helped to buy regional fruit.

Susana's story

Susana is 61 years old and single with two children. She has managed to provide for her children and make them into good people. She currently lives in her own home along with her 13-year-old granddaughter, Alexandra, whom she cares for and to whom she hopes to offer a better quality of life. Susana makes a living selling fruit and regional products. She works every day from the early morning, making sales from the stand she has in her home. She offers her clients the freshest and healthiest fruit. She has been in this business for more than 3 years, and she likes it very much because she finishes working at midday, which allows her to rest in the afternoon and dedicate herself to housework. Her work is going very well because it gives her a good income, but at the same time she needs to expand her business. Therefore, she is asking for a loan of 800 Peruvian soles to buy wholesale fruit from her region, such as coconas, oranges, papayas, and bananas, among others. She is grateful to MFP for their confidence in her, and she is committed to paying her fees on time.
