Johnson's story

Johnson lives in the Malindi area of Coast province, Kenya. He is married and has four children, three of whom are school going. He owns a tailoring shop; a business he has been operating for two years. Johnson also owns rental houses from which he earns some income. He learnt about Milango through a friend who invited him to the group and he joined with an aim of accessing credit to improve on his business operations. His main challenge is competition from established businesses. Johnson is applying a loan of 21,050 Kenya shillings to buy sewing machines and tailoring materials. He will use the extra income to improve the standard of living of the family.
