A loan of $600 helped to buy fresh fish.

Gloria's story

Gloria is 42 years old, single and has 4 children, who live with her in her own house. The business that Gloria carries out is selling fresh fish in the mornings. Her work starts at dawn, heading to the fishing port of her town to buy her merchandise directly from the wholesale fishermen. Later she brings them to her salesplace in the market closest to her home.

She started more than 3 years ago with her own capital, and seeing that it was easy work to carry out with a lot of demand, decided to dedicate herself completely to developing it. Since then, she has maintained her initial investment. Until now, her older daughters have occasionally helped her with sales. Before starting her business, she had economic problems since she had separated from the father of her children. Needing to have an income, since the support she received for her children wasn't enough, she decided to start selling. Seeing the good results she has, she wants to see the business grow and then have a higher income.

She is requesting 1500 soles to buy fresh fish like pompano, boquichico and catfish, since these species are of higher demand in the market. She is very grateful for the economic support that MFP brings to get ahead.
