Dama is a married woman with four children. She lives in Tiribe, Kenya with her husband, a primary school teacher. They own their own home.
Dama operates a kiosk, where she sells products like wheat flour, maize flour, and detergents, among other things. Most of her income is used to pay school fees. She has now requested a loan of 50,000 KSH to help pay school fees for her children.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
