Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $325 helped to introduce the sale of bananas and other items into her provision business.

Veronica's story

Veronica is married and has 2 children. She has received schooling up to junior high school. Veronica sells provisions at Soba, Hohoe, which she has done for the past three years now. Her husband is a kente weaver (Kente is a traditional, brightly colored Ghanaian textile).

Veronica uses her income for the general upkeep of herself and her family. She will use the loan to introduce the sale of bananas and other items into her provision business. Veronica plans to save the new profits from her expanded business and expand her shop.
