A loan of $575 helped to buy clothes and general merchandise such as soap and beans to sell.

Emmanuel's story

Emmanuel is a 28-year-old married man with two children living in Hoima, Uganda. For the past year, he has run a shop where he sells mainly clothes and other general merchandise. He started this business using capital from his savings from farming activities. His major business challenge is inadequate capital and stiff competition, while his dream is to educate his children up to University. He intends to diversify his business and trade in produce since there is a lot of demand from schools and prisons. Emmanuel intends to use the loan to buy clothes and general merchandise such as soap and beans to sell.
